Who is Aunt Kelley!

Hi there. It feels weird to talk about myself. Most don't know much about me. I generally keep to myself...well, until now. I thought I would share just a short tidbit about myself, so I'm not so much a stranger to you....

I live in Colorado Springs, but I was raised in Oklahoma. Back home, I am known to many kids as Aunt Kelley. My daughters' friends liked hanging out at our house much of the time. Now, all of these kids are growing up and getting out on their own. Now, kids aren't my focus anymore. Dogs are. Dogs are my life now.

I was a nurse for 12 years, a massage therapist for 6 years, and I have done house cleaning, home health care, and dog sitting on the side. I am a Jill of all trades, because I have had to be to provide for my family. I did chemotherapy for a year for liver problems, and now have fibromyalgia due to it. But...I am a survivor. Shout out to all you chronic illness and pain sufferers out there. I feel ya, for sure.

My idea of fun is white water rafting, ziplining, hiking, camping, swimming, boating, horseback riding, and many other things that I can't think of right now. There are many things I have on my bucket list. Taking a cruise, traveling to other countries, flying on a Dreamliner, getting a makeover and finally having my dream wedding. We will see. I would like a nice sunrise or sunset with a good cup of tea on a wrap around porch attached to my dream home surrounded by all my beloved dogs who come to see me at Aunt Kelley's House. That is my vision of my ultimate goal. Maybe someday you all can join me.
